Description
Miscanthus sinensis 'Yaka Dance'®
This powerful ball-shaped silver grass is fascinating and attractive for a very long time of the year; long fresh dark green leaves with a bright light vein, gracefully lush arching to the ground; very numerous initially honey-blond inflorescences like an aura around them, slowly sliding upwards, all the way around above it like a feather headdress, from late summer; with new fresh inflorescences all the time until late autumn and winter.
When severe frost does not occur for a long time, the leaves remain very long (gray / bluish-)green, which together with the bright vein radiates a form of variegation, often even with a violet glow in early winter as an extra.
Yaka Dance therefore also provides a fascinating winter spectacle, over a longer period in the garden or in pots on the terraces. That also makes this plant very interesting for the Christmas balcony or Christmas terrace. Christmas-canthus Yaka Dance has a fascinating winter image. A little snow is not necessarily necessary, but it makes that image complete and fairytale-like.
This healthy growing and very hardy plant thrives in a wide variety of, but preferably in average conditions.
A more open sunny position is desirable for a strong shape.
Height 1.30-1.60.
